Haiku Marketplace used to be an old pineapple cannery. Today, shops in front include Colleen’s Restaurant, a Postal Shop, Haiku Pharmacy, The Haleakala Bike Company (you congregate at the market place in the morning, they drive you to the top of Haleakala and you coast down the mountain streets back to Haiku), Haiku Laundromat, Haiku Pharmacy, Haiku Medical Clinic and The Studio (an art and cultural center). Inside the building, we have the Hope Chapel and Maui Jui Jitsu. Across the street is Fukishima’s Grocery store, famous all over Maui for their delicious $1.00 hot dogs.
Other shops in the cannery include The Club Haiku Beauty Salon, The Spa Luna Holistic School for Massage Therapists (good place to get a massage), Pacific Biotech (small company researching Hawaii”s Noni fruit as a possible cure for cancer), Pacific Island Art and Cards, us (Kopa Haiku) and our closest neighbor Naish Sailing (they design and market surfboards, wind sailing boards and paddle boards.
Shop hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:00PM on week days but would love to open shop for a weekend tour, please email info@kopahaiku.com a day before the tour.
